Philippines edges Indonesia for first FIBA U16 win

The Philippines survived a gritty stand by Indonesia, pulling off a 65–60 victory to secure its first win at the FIBA U16 Asia Cup 2025 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

With the result, the young Gilas improved to 1–1 in Group B, bouncing back from their opening loss to Chinese Taipei. Indonesia, meanwhile, dropped to 0–2 after earlier falling to New Zealand.

Gilas U16 will next battle New Zealand on Tuesday, September 2 at 4:30 PM (GMT+8), while Indonesia takes on Chinese Taipei at 7:00 PM on the same day.
