Manila, Philippines — May 14, 2025

Malacañang on Tuesday firmly denied any involvement or support for the alleged impeachment move against Vice President Sara Duterte, branding such reports as baseless and misleading.

In a press conference held on May 14, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro clarified that the administration is not in favor of any attempt to unseat the Vice President.

"‘Yan po ay ating pinatututulan at pinasisinungalingan po. Wala pong sinasabing anumang pagkumpiyansa na para mapatalsik o matanggal sa puwesto ang Bise Presidente," Castro stated.

The clarification comes amid rumors and speculations surrounding a supposed impeachment initiative targeting Duterte. The Palace emphasized that no such plan exists and reiterated its commitment to political stability and cooperation.

Malacañang also urged the public to remain vigilant against false information and to prioritize unity in addressing the nation’s challenges.
