Newborn Baby Found Dead Along Buenavista River, Pagadian City

Pagadian City, May 19, 2025 — The lifeless body of a newborn baby was discovered early in the morning in a river in Purok Masanagon, Sitio Nazareth, Barangay Buenavista, Pagadian City.

Local residents who found the infant immediately alerted authorities. The baby appeared to have been recently born, but details regarding the circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear.

Barangay officials and the Pagadian City Police responded swiftly, recovering the body and initiating an investigation. Preliminary reports indicate the infant may have been abandoned and left in the river, but authorities continue to investigate the exact cause of death.
